art is in.. grandma’s antique floral plates, homemade bread, handmade vintage furniture, John Forsythe, Linda Evans and Joan Collins. “artisanal”(meaning made by hand) is a cosy bar-restaurant housed in an early 20th century premium residence with rare trees and elegance of the 50’s. not just a fancy word.

lounge yourself and taste a freshly baked bread dipped in metsovone, anthotyro(traditional fresh cheese) and thyme cream, a colorful beetroot salad with goat cheese and raspberry dressing, a groovy grilled spinach pie with feta cheese cream and chive scented olive oil, some classy beef ravioli with salsify and Jerusalem artichoke(topinambour), some sensuous pumpkin gnocchi with mushrooms, a Greek sea scented octopus pastitsio with wakame seaweed and fava(yellow split peas puree) and a fine juicy pata negra pork loin with polenta, red cabbage puree and crispy pork bites. actually well crafted culinary works.

second dinner act opens with nutcracker rum cocktail with house honey bittermilk, lime juice, hazelnut liqueur and a nice dry dark chocolate flavor of Scrappy’s Chocolate Bitters danced to end of love by a praline bar with green apple compote, chocolate-caramélia and vanilla ice cream.

inspiration came from a high rooftop Philippe Starck-designed place overlooking Paris nightlife – on the upper floors of Kenzo building. tastes travel through Thailand and Japan. a warm, passionate red environment with a cute green garden. “kong” is the new soulful(the owner of famous “soul” bar is involved) bar-restaurant in town.

have some crunchy won ton with crab meat and shrimp, some savory tempura shrimps with plum sauce, a balanced stir-fry chicken, a comforting pad thai packed with flavor, a creamy green curry chicken -an authentic taste, an all-time classic, perfectly roasted Peking duck with hoisin dip and some fine spicy tempura rolls.

now let me take you someplace where Albion still means the island of Great Britain. there is a space, north of the city, that found a way to make the colonial aesthetic to work with it. multi-pane windows and fenestration, neutral surroundings and wooden furniture create a cosy, sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere.

let’s sit outdoors, in our blue chair cushion little heaven and enjoy a fresh salad with chicken, avocado and citrus vinaigrette, a thin-crusted, mouthwatering prosciutto cotto and zucchini pizza, a juicy black angus burger with goat cheese and arugula and a fine angus beef tagliata with truffle oil.
