if you are a Japanese cuisine enthusiast and live in Athens, you surely know “inbi”(means eroticism in Japanese) very well. at first it served its fusion signature dishes in Kolonaki area. now it moved south; in the heart of busy Glyfada district. the place as always minimal, reflecting the ambiance and tradition of the Asian state culture.
the dishes as always amazing and flavorful. the sushi chef Mr. Takaaki Otzuka and the executive chefs Mr. Stamatis Skriapas and Mr. Panagiotis Tziourtzioumis continue to delight our palates.
some of my favorites there are gyoza beef and pork with chilli soy sauce, seafood harumaki with ponzu aioli sauce(kind of seafood spring rolls), pork belly with yuzu-honey and ginger-jalapeno gremolata and of course the rolls like spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, soft shell crab, crunchy toro and salmon avocado. the last time i also had some special ones made for me with eel, avocado and cucumber. got my extra minutes of heaven.
but this time something has really changed. it’s the bar with the two new head bartenders; the famous(in their field) Mr. Panagiotis Fragos and Mr. Dimitris Papaioannou. capable of mixing some of the finest cocktails and even do some ice carving! ask them to prepare for you something really unique; the cocktail of yogurt, honey, mastic and liqueur. personally i enjoyed an extra spicy cocktail of tequila with ginger, chilli, lime and agave!
so go visit this place my friends and let the sushi love shine!
